Creating Bundles

Product Groups

Product groups are used to organize products within your bundle. Groups can have conditional rules and settings applied to them.

Group Settings

Group title

The group title is what your customers will see when selecting their bundle options. We recommend making this descriptive like “How many of x do you want?”.

Limit to one product selection per group

If your group contains multiple optional products, this setting will limit selection to only one individual product.

Make product selection optional

If your group contains optional products, this setting will allow the user to select no option. Users will be required to select an option if this is disabled.

Linked group

This setting allows you to link the group to another group within the bundle. Group visibility then depends on the status of the parent group. For example, if you have a parent group with optional product selections, the child group will not be selectable until an option within the parent is made.

There are two main reasons to link a group.

  • The first is to create a natural flow in product selection, as shown below. In the scenario the linking of groups is simply for display purposes as the next group opens up upon selecting an option within the parent group.

  • The second is to create nested additional options that are only relevant to the selection of the parent group.

Adding Products

You can add any product to your groups except for other bundle products. Start adding products by:

  1. Selecting Add products on the Group panel.
  2. Search by product title or SKU.
  3. Select the products you want to add.
  4. Hit the Add selected button

Refer to the product documentation.

Deleting a Group

You can delete a product group by selecting the Actions dropdown and the Delete option.

When a group is deleted, it will be temporarily preserved and restorable via the Deleted Groups card that appears to the right of the group section. If you accidentally delete a group or need to recover a group you can do so from this card.

Reorder Groups

The ordering of groups impacts how they are displayed to your customers on your storefront. Groups are, by default, positioned in the order that they are created. To reorder the groups, you simply need to select the handle icon in the top left-hand corner of the Product Group card and drag the group to the desired position.
