Bundle products

Each product in a group can have its own label, quantity and price, and can be fixed or optional. These settings only apply inside the bundle. They don't change the product in Shopify.

To edit a product, select it on its group card. The Edit bundle product window opens.

Product settings

Label

The name customers see for this product in the bundle form, cart and checkout. Leave it empty to use the product's title from Shopify, including the variant name. For example, a label of "Ethiopia Single Origin" reads better than "Ethiopia Single / 250g Resealable Bag / Whole Bean".

When you leave the label empty, BundleM8 keeps it in step with the product's title in Shopify. A custom label isn't changed when the product is renamed.

Quantity

How many of this product the customer gets when it's in their bundle. The default is 1.

On the storefront, products with a quantity of more than 1 show the quantity after their name, for example "M8 Blend (x2)", and their price is multiplied by the quantity.

You can add the same product to a group more than once with different quantities, such as "Add 2" and "Add 4" options.

Price

The price of one unit of this product in the bundle. It starts as the product's current price in Shopify.

• Change it to set a custom price for this bundle. Custom prices aren't changed by Auto sync prices.
• Set it to 0 to include the product for free.

When a Bundle-wide discount is on, the price is worked out from the discount and can't be edited. The window shows Price locked due to bundle-wide discount.

Shopify price

The product's current price in Shopify, for reference. It's read-only.

SKU and SOH

The product's SKU and stock on hand (SOH) from Shopify, for reference.

Optional inclusion

Whether the customer can choose this product:

• On: the product is optional. It's listed under Optional products and counts towards the group's minimum and maximum selections.
• Off: the product is fixed. It's always included in the bundle and the customer can't remove it.

Removing a product

To remove a product from a group, select it on the group card and select Delete in the Edit bundle product window. If the group's minimum or maximum selections are more than the number of optional products left, they're lowered to match.

Removing a product from a bundle doesn't change the product in Shopify.

Products that change in Shopify

BundleM8 keeps bundle products up to date when they change in Shopify:

• Price changes are copied into bundles with Auto sync prices on, unless the product has a custom price.
• Title changes update the label, unless you've set a custom label.
• Stock changes update the bundle form's stock checks and the bundle's own inventory.
• Deleted products are removed from every bundle.

Out-of-stock products

Products that can't be sold are shown as unavailable on the storefront, with [Unavailable] after their name, and can't be selected. A product can be sold if Shopify doesn't track its inventory, if it's set to continue selling when out of stock, or if it has stock.

Fixed products that are out of stock make the whole bundle unavailable, because every bundle includes them.
